Key Responsibilities
- Lead and direct structural engineers across one or multiple work packages
- Set up internal workflows and plan the team's activities
- Execute structural analysis for offshore substructures and topsides
- Define optimal technical solutions across feasibility, FEED, and detailed design phases
- Review and approve technical documentation and analysis before issue
- Prepare sketch drawings, concept work, and feasibility studies
- Define and follow up tender documentation, guiding bidders toward efficient technical solutions
- Organise offshore resource workloads in coordination with planners and project management
- Liaise with other discipline leads throughout project execution
- Tutor and mentor junior structural engineers
Requirements
- Strong experience in the analysis and design of offshore structures to ISO 19900 series, API RP 2A, and AISC
- Ability to build and verify FEM models of fixed structures such as jackets and topsides for in-place and temporary conditions
- Experience in the design of foundation systems including piles and mud mats
- Experience in brownfield re-design, life extension, and reliability analysis
- Proven capability in non-linear analysis (e.g. blast, dropped objects, impact, redundancy, pushover)
- Experience with floater design
- Familiarity with offshore materials, fabrication methods, and installation practices
- Proficiency with structural analysis tools such as SESAM Suite, USFOS, ANSYS, and SACS
- Degree in Civil, Offshore, Structural, or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering with a focus on structures
