IM AMBASSADOR Consultants is a UK-based international education consultancy with operations across the United Kingdom, India, UAE, Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Nigeria. We partner with universities and educational institutions worldwide, supporting students through every stage of their study abroad journey with ethical guidance, professional counselling, and exceptional service.

If you are passionate about international education, enjoy building relationships, and have the ability to generate student enquiries and convert them into successful enrolments, we would love to hear from you.
About the Role
As a Senior Student Counsellor, you will be responsible for recruiting and counselling prospective students who wish to pursue higher education overseas, as well as supporting students already based in the United Kingdom with further education opportunities.
Our dedicated UK Admissions Team manages university applications, document verification, offer processing, admissions administration, and ongoing application support, allowing you to focus on student recruitment, business development, and professional counselling.
This opportunity is ideal for experienced education counsellors, recruitment consultants, education agents, or independent consultants who possess strong counselling skills, an established professional network, or the ability to generate high-quality student leads.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional counselling to prospective students regarding overseas education opportunities.
- Assess student profiles and recommend suitable universities, courses, and study pathways.
- Advise students on study destinations including the UK, Australia, Canada, Europe, USA, UAE, Ireland, New Zealand, and other partner destinations.
- Guide UK home students, including those with Settled or Pre-Settled Status, on higher education opportunities within the UK and provide guidance on Student Finance England eligibility and application processes.
- Advise international students currently residing in the UK on further study opportunities, progression routes, and suitable university options available within the UK.
- Generate student enquiries through networking, referrals, social media, educational events, partnerships, and other business development activities.
- Conduct counselling sessions via telephone, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, or in person where appropriate.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with students, parents, schools, colleges, employers, and referral partners.
- Maintain accurate records of enquiries, consultations, and follow-up activities.
- Work closely with our UK Admissions Team to ensure a seamless student journey from enquiry through to enrolment.
- Achieve agreed student recruitment targets while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and ethical student counselling.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
