Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain
Elevation Procurement & Supply chain delighted to be partnered with Howco, with the search & selection of the newly created role of Senior Supply Chain Manager - Aerospace.
Step into a high-impact senior leadership role where your expertise in end-to-end supply chain management in the aerospace sector will directly influence operational performance, customer delivery, and profitability. This is a strategic opportunity to shape and optimise a complex aerospace metals supply chain, working with nickel and alloy materials in a technically demanding, quality-critical environment.
About the Role
As Senior Supply Chain Manager, you will own the strategic and operational performance of the supply chain, from sourcing and procurement through to demand planning, S&OP and inventory optimisation. You will lead cross-functional alignment between commercial, operations, quality and finance to ensure material availability, cost efficiency and service reliability. Your work will drive continuous improvement, mitigate supply risk, and support long-term growth in a highly regulated aerospace metals environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the end to end supply chain strategy for aerospace nickel and alloy products, aligned with business objectives and customer requirements.
- Lead and optimise the S&OP process, ensuring robust demand forecasting, capacity planning and alignment between sales, operations and supply.
- Oversee strategic procurement and sourcing activities, including supplier selection, negotiation, contracting and performance management for critical metals supply.
- Manage inventory planning and control to balance service levels, working capital and obsolescence risk across multiple sites and product lines.
- Drive supply risk assessment and mitigation, including dual-sourcing strategies, contingency planning and supplier development initiatives.
- Implement and refine supply chain KPIs, dashboards and reporting to monitor performance, identify variances and drive corrective actions.
- Lead cross-functional improvement projects to streamline material flows, reduce lead times, and enhance OTIF delivery performance.
- Mentor and develop the supply chain team, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making, accountability and continuous improvement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
