Senior Support Engineer
Senior Support Engineer (UK-Based)

As a Senior Support Engineer, you will operate at the core of complex, production-grade cloud environments, supporting advanced AI and distributed computing workloads. This is a highly technical, hands-on role, focused on diagnosing and resolving critical infrastructure issues across Linux, Kubernetes, networking, storage, and GPU-based systems.
You will act as a senior escalation point for high-impact incidents, collaborating with engineering teams and customers to restore service, identify root causes, and improve operational maturity. The role combines deep debugging, systems thinking, and automation, contributing to observability, tooling, and reliability at scale. Ideal for those who thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoying solving ambiguous, high-stakes technical challenges.
Key Accountabilities
- Investigate & resolve complex production issues with a focus on root cause analysis across cloud and customer environments.
- Debug across:
- Linux systems
- Kubernetes clusters
- Networking layers
- Storage systems
- GPU-accelerated workloads
- Serve as the senior escalation point for critical incidents, ensuring rapid and effective resolution.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to:
- Reproduce issues
- Identify systemic causes
- Drive long-term fixes
- Support customers managing:
- Containerized applications
- Distributed systems
- AI/ML pipelines
- Inference & training workloads
- Develop and improve internal tools and automation (Python, Bash, Go, or similar) to enhance troubleshooting efficiency.
- Contribute to observability, monitoring, and operational process improvements to boost platform reliability and scalability.
- Communicate clear, effective updates to customers and stakeholders during incidents.
- Participate in on-call rotations for weekend incident response.

Requirements
- Strong Linux administration & production troubleshooting experience.
- Expertise in Kubernetes and containerized environments.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, OpenStack).
- Deep networking fundamentals, including distributed systems debugging.
- Ability to write automation scripts/tools (Python, Bash, Go).
- Production incident hunting experience with structured debugging & cross-team collaboration.
- Analytical mindset for independent work in ambiguous/high-pressure scenarios.
- Excellent technical communication (with both technical and non-technical stakeholders).
- GPU-based infrastructure/AI/ML experience is a +.
- Observability, operational workflows, and automation familiarity preferred.
- Track record of systems improvements via tooling, automation, or engineering contributions.
