Senior Support Specialist

You will have gained experience in a similar setting, supervising and leading others. While a formal qualification is not required, you should have a Level 3 qualification in Health and social care. Supervise colleagues, lead team meetings and support your peers with their performance and professional development Lead support planning and act as point of contact in the absence of site leadership Assist with the management of site petty cash and client funds Supporting with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and personal care Performing light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes Assisting with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of individuals Assistance and support to attend medical appointments Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being, and quickly report any changes to senior staff Supporting the development of important family connections and liaising with specialists, including Speech & Language Therapists and Learning Disability teams Encouraging participation in social and recreational activities that promote involvement and personal growth

The ideal candidate:

Driving License required due to Location or will consider people who have direct transport to the site.

Qualifications and Skills Previous experience in a senior role (6-12 months) Good numeracy skills Excellent interpersonal skills and a caring nature Empathy, understanding and patience Ability to work on your own and as part of a team Ability to understand and follow policies and procedure The ability to anticipate and respond to challenges Competent in verbal and written English A healthcare qualification is desirable, but not essential To be considered for this role, we require you to have the right to work in the UK.
