Senior Support Worker Department: Support Roles Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time Location: St Albans. Reporting To: Locality Manager Compensation: £13.91 - £15.13 / hour

We are currently looking for full time (37.5 hours a week) Senior Support Workers (internally known as Lead Support Workers) to support adults with learning disabilities and autism.

Key Responsibilities As a Senior Support Worker (Lead Support Worker), you will assist the Locality Manager by working on shift and providing day-to-day support to the staff team. The role includes supporting staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred support through supervisions, positive role modelling, team meetings, observations, and consistent 1:1 support. You will also support the effective day-to-day management of the service.

In addition to supporting the Locality Manager and staff team, a key part of your role will be developing a strong understanding of the people you support. This will include providing emotional and practical support to enable individuals to live their lives their way, promoting independence, choice, and wellbeing.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Minimum of 1 years’ experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or Autism. Must have a full UK Manual driving license. A commitment to empowering people. Ability to work closely with families and outside agencies. Ability to take responsibility and remain calm in difficult situations. Willing to work weekdays, weekends, evenings, bank holidays, and sleep-ins.
