Senior Support Worker – Limewood Care Home, Stafford
Salary: £13.71 per hour Hours: 38 hours per week Benefits: Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided, 5.6 weeks annual leave (pro-rated)
About the Role
As a Senior Support Worker at Limewood Care Home, you will lead the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care for residents with complex physical and mental health needs, including in our specialist dementia and nursing services.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering exceptional care with a strong focus on dignity, wellbeing, and individualised support
- Overseeing shift operations, ensuring smooth care delivery, safety, and compliance with standards
- Administering medications accurately and maintaining up-to-date records
- Supporting team members and promoting a calm, professional, and structured care environment
- Responding to emergencies and changes in resident needs with confidence and adaptability
- Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care and communication

What We Are Looking For
We’re seeking candidates with the following qualifications and attributes:
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent/applicable experience)
- Medication administration training & competency
- Prior experience supporting or managing care teams
- Strong leadership & organisational skills, with the ability to guide a team effectively
- Compassionate, calm, and reliable approach to resident and staff support
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
