Senior Support Worker - Ultrasound Department
We are seeking an enthusiastic person to join our fantastic Imaging team as a Senior Support Worker.
About the Role
You will work in the ultrasound department with colleagues to provide the best possible patient care, ensuring equipment is available and maintaining accurate patient records in line with information governance. You will be expected to organize workflow for the area you are working in and assist in minor procedures.

- Provide patient care in the ultrasound department.

- Organize workflow in the designated area.
- Assist in minor procedures.
- Work alongside doctors, advanced practitioners, and other radiographers.
- Support examinations and procedures.

Work Locations
This role will be predominantly based in the ultrasound department to include working at:
- Sharoe Green Unit
- Offsite scan rooms (currently Preston Healthport)
- Chorley District Hospital
- Ultrasound scan rooms within the main x-ray department
Working Hours
This post will involve some regular weekend work, with flexible hours based on the department's needs.
Qualifications
- NVQ level 2 in Health care (or equivalent).
- Prepared to study for the INCS Level 3 qualification within 18 months of appointment.
- Complete the Clinical Skills Care Certificate as part of your induction unless already completed.
Flexibility
You will be expected to be flexible in your attitude to work, including out-of-hours, weekend, and Bank holiday work.

Team Collaboration
You will work closely with sonographers and other team members to provide support with stock and patient procedures.
