Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Surveyor to join a growing surveying consultancy delivering projects across Scotland.

This is an excellent opportunity for a surveyor with a strong topographical surveying background who is looking to take on a senior role within an established team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading survey projects, managing client relationships, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality survey data across a range of sectors.

Whilst topographical surveying experience is essential, candidates with utility surveying and measured building surveying experience will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver topographical surveys across a variety of commercial, infrastructure, and development projects.
  • Lead survey projects from initial planning through to final deliverables.
  • Establish and maintain survey control networks.
  • Process and quality-check survey data to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
  • Produce survey outputs using industry-standard software.
  • Liaise with clients, project managers, and stakeholders throughout project delivery.
  • Mentor and support junior surveyors and technicians.
  • Assist with project planning, resource allocation, and programme management.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company quality and health & safety procedures.
  • Support business development activities and client relationship management where required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
