CIVIL ENGINEERING SENIOR SURVEYOR

Company:

Bouygues Travaux Publics (TP) and Laing O’Rourke, two of Europe’s most dynamic engineering and construction specialists, are working together in a joint venture named BYLOR to deliver the main civil engineering works at Hinkley Point C (HPC) worth over £2.8 billion.

Civil engineering senior surveyor positions are now available with Bylor at HPC. We are expanding our capabilities by forming a new survey team to operate in parallel with our existing function, and we are seeking experienced engineering surveyors to support the delivery of one of Europe’s largest and most complex civil engineering and nuclear projects. This represents a unique and exciting new scope for Bylor, independent from our main site activities, offering you the chance to play a key role in the success of this landmark project.

Function

Civil engineering surveying is a branch of civil engineering that deals with the measurement, analysis, and design of land and structures. Surveying is a critical part of civil engineering, as it helps provides technical support and information that is used throughout all phases of the project. As part of this role, you will be involved in establishing and implementing a comprehensive survey control network specifically designed for this scope, ensuring precise and consistent measurements are maintained throughout all project activities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
