Responsibilities

As a member of our wider national Valuation team based in Manchester, your role will span across loan security, acquisition, disposal, and asset valuations, serving clients in the public sector, local authorities, developers, investors, banks, and lending institutions.

Daily Duties:

  • Report to Valuation Consultancy Directors based in both Liverpool and Manchester, collaborating with a larger North-West valuation team.
  • Conduct valuation instructions with independence, producing concise and accurate valuation reports reviewed and signed by directors.
  • Collaborate withvaluation colleagues and manage valuation instructions while maintaining accountability.
  • Emphasize efficient, profitable work while adhering to regulatory, quality, and corporate standards.
  • Identify and explore growth opportunities for the North West Valuation business. -Actively collaborate across Avison Young to realize new business opportunities, contributing to our strategic ambitions.

qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Primary Functions across Microsoft Office 365 software
  • Familiarity with valuation software, ideally involving KEL and Argus Developer; foundational training offered where necessary.

Core Skills

  • Practical and effective approach in resolving real-world business and property challenges.
  • Strong organizational skills with efficiency in managing multiple projects simultaneously while retaining high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • A dedication to producing consistently high-quality work.
  • Display of flexibility and resilience in maintaining optimal work flexibility and adjusting to challenges.
  • Excellent report-writing skills.
  • Proficient data management capabilities.
  • Strong collaboration skills fostering cohesive teamwork and coordination.
  • Commitment to punctuality and meeting all deadlines.

Required Experience

  • FRICS (Either Fellow [FRICS] or Member [MRICS])
  • RICS Registered Valuer qualification
  • In-depth knowledge of the RICS Valuation Standards (Red Book) combined with understanding of pertinent guidance and supporting notes.
