About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional individual to join our Home Improvement team as a Senior Surveyor/Specialist grants officer.
The post involves working as part of a team, providing Disabled Facilities Grants, and other financial assistance, as set out in the current published Decent Homes Policy, to improve and adapt the homes of eligible residents in Bath and North East Somerset. Ensuring timely, effective, and a person-centred support that promotes independence and safety.
You will prepare schedules of work, evaluate costs and inspect the quality of completed works agreed for grant funding/financial assistance, to ensure value for money. This will include referring and agreeing the scope of eligible works with the Council’s commissioned Home Improvement Agency on complex cases.
This post is 18.5 hours a week, based at the Civic Centre, Keynsham. However, alternative workplaces, including home based working, can be used with the agreement of the manager. Additionally, there may be requirement to work or be available outside of regular office hours, including for evening meetings.

Requirements
Membership of a relevant professional organisation (such as Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, Association of Project Managers, RICS) is desirable. The Post holder mush hold a clean driving license More details can be found within the role profile
