Climate17 is pleased to be working with an award-winning, employee-owned building services and sustainability consultancy renowned for delivering innovative, low-carbon engineering solutions across the built environment.

With sustainability embedded at the heart of every project, our client is looking to appoint a Senior Sustainability Consultant to support the continued growth of its environmental assessment and sustainability advisory team (Manchester, Bristol or Edinburgh).

The Opportunity

As a Senior Sustainability Consultant, you'll lead the delivery of sustainability assessments across a diverse portfolio of projects, working closely with multidisciplinary design teams and trusted clients.

You'll manage projects from concept through to completion, provide expert advice across a range of environmental certification schemes, and play a key role in developing both people and processes. Alongside technical delivery, you'll also contribute to wider sustainability services including Net Zero strategies, ESG advisory, planning support, and sustainable design workshops.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of sustainability and environmental assessment projects across multiple sectors.
  • Manage BREEAM, WELL, and other sustainability certification projects from inception to completion.
  • Act as Lead Sustainability Consultant, coordinating sustainability advice across multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Deliver sustainability strategies, planning advice, and client workshops.
  • Mentor and develop junior consultants while helping improve technical standards and quality assurance.
  • Build long-term client relationships and contribute to business growth through proposals, bids, and service development.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
