Senior Sustainability Consultant – Sustainability & Decarbonisation Advisory

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work closely with our Sustainability & Decarbonisation Advisory team within the Building Engineering Business Line, a recognised leader in sustainable development.
As Senior Sustainability Consultant, your role will include:
- Guidance & Strategy: Supporting clients in developing and understanding their sustainability and decarbonisation requirements.
- Whole Life Carbon Assessment (WLCAs): Leading carbon reduction strategies across various frameworks (e.g., Greater London Authority, LETI, RIBA, RICS, BREEAM).
- Strategic Alignment: Collaborating with clients and designers to deliver sustainability solutions from early design stages through to construction.
- Certification Management: Coordinating certification schemes including BREEAM and DREAM. Experience with LEED/WELL is advantageous.
- Sustainability Appraisals: Conducting assessments like SAW (Sustainability Appraisal Worksheets) and SEEAM.
- Bid & Program Management: Contributing to work winning and tender responses, and supporting project management planning.
- Junior Development: Mentoring and upskilling junior team members.

Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven expertise in building design, construction, and sustainability assessments.
- Experience with WLCAs, OneClick LCA tools, and sustainability certification schemes, particularly BREEAM/DREAM.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, capable of interpreting complex data and applying it to practical carbon reduction or sustainability strategies.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distil technical details into clear presentations.
- High attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
