Senior Systems Engineer - MBSE Specialist - 12 month contract - DV Clearance required

Are you a highly motivated Systems Engineer with a passion for Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)? Join a dynamic organization committed to cutting-edge engineering solutions. As a Senior Systems Engineer (MBSE Specialist), you'll lead the development and enhancement of MBSE practices, ensuring robust, integrated models that inform critical decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation and support of MBSE practices including requirements management, interface definition, trade studies, and interdisciplinary analysis
  • Maintain consistency, integrity, and usability of engineering models across teams
  • Optimize model deployment, reporting, and visualization for stakeholder clarity
  • Support integration of MBSE models with other organizational systems and tools
  • Develop metrics to monitor model effectiveness and identify improvements
  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels, including business leaders and subject matter experts
  • Develop verification strategies to ensure model accuracy, traceability, and reliability
  • Maintain and support the organisation’s SQL database, ensuring data integrity and accessibility

Required Skills:

  • Extensive experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Proven ability to manage complex engineering models
  • Strong data analysis, reporting, and visualization skills
  • Proficiency in SQL/database management
  • Experience in verification and validation within engineering contexts

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with specific MBSE tools (e.g., MagicDraw, Enterprise Architect)
  • Knowledge of systems architecture frameworks
  • Background in mission-critical or defence industries

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in systems engineering roles, with significant MBSE expertise

Other Requirements:

  • DV level Security Clearance
  • Ability to work onsite at the designated location (4-day week or 9-day fortnight options available)
