I am currently supporting a leading technology consultancy in the search for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to support a complex engineering programme within a highly regulated environment.
This is an opportunity to work on challenging, safety-critical systems, contributing to the development and integration of critical infrastructure while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams and key stakeholders.
Location: UK Remote, with occasional travel to Whiteley and Bath, as required
Clearance: BPSS required (additional vetting required)
Engagement: Contract – Inside IR35/Umbrella, day rate £800 per day

Essential experience required:

10+ years’ experience delivering high-integrity systems engineering projects

Strong background working within regulated industries such as Defence, Aerospace, Aviation, Transport or Critical Infrastructure

Experience across the full systems engineering lifecycle, including:
- Requirements management
- System specification
- Verification and validation
- Systems integration
- Requirements traceability

Proven experience in customer-facing systems engineering lead roles

Experience working on safety-critical or mission-critical systems

Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage across technical and organisational levels

Hands-on experience with MBSE approaches, including SysML/UML

Ability to lead and collaborate within multidisciplinary engineering teams

Desirable experience:
- Air Traffic Management (ATM) systems experience
- Sparx Enterprise Architect
- INCOSE certification (CSEP/ESEP) or working towards professional accreditation
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership
