The Role: Senior System Verification Engineer
The Responsibilities
- Define and execute test protocols from system, user, and risk-related requirements.
- Review test-related documentation (protocols, reports, memorandums, etc.).
- Support the creation of bespoke test environments and rigs (software, hardware, or a combination).
- Define and document the impact on system-level behaviour due to design changes and ensure full verification.
- Develop process improvements to streamline test activities, including test script development (Python).
- Create test plans and schedules for upcoming testing activities.
- Task-lead verification engineers to deliver projects.
- Monitor and report test progress to the Group Lead or Head of Quality Engineering.
- Ensure Verification documentation complies with regulatory guidelines and standards (FDA, MDR, or other regions).
- Collaborate with other business areas to maintain compliance with health and safety, training records, and equipment calibration.

The role requires flexibility to contribute to any System Verification task helping the team meet its objectives.
About You
To thrive in this role, we’re looking for:

- Strong problem-solving skills and a genuine interest in understanding how things work.

We also require:
- Exceptional electromechanical skills, ideally gained through a degree in Engineering, Physics, or a similar technical discipline.
- High attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Experience in planning, executing, and reviewing testing.
- Experience leading small technical teams.
- Experience with recruitment, appraisals, and line management.
- Experience in regulated environments.
The following would be advantageous but not mandatory:
- Experience in robotics.
- Familiarity with medical devices standards and certifications.
