Senior Systems Developer
Glasgow (Hybrid)
£55,000 - £65,000 + Benefits
Iconic Resourcing is delighted to be supporting a growing financial services organisation with the appointment of a Senior Systems Developer to join their established technology team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Oracle Database professional to join a business going through an exciting period of growth and investment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting critical business systems, delivering improvements across the technology estate and helping shape future development projects.
Working as part of a small and highly experienced development team, this role offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact, combining database development, administration, automation and systems improvement within a collaborative environment.
The Role
- Developing and supporting Oracle and SQL Server databases and applications
- Providing Oracle Database Administration (DBA) support, including performance tuning and optimisation
- Designing and delivering database solutions using PL/SQL and SQL
- Supporting the development of a new enterprise data warehouse
- Improving and automating existing business processes and workflows
- Working closely with stakeholders across Operations, Finance, IT and wider business teams
- Supporting the ongoing improvement and development of internal systems
- Providing technical guidance and knowledge sharing within the development team

We are keen to speak with experienced database professionals who can demonstrate:
- Strong Oracle DBA experience
- Strong Oracle PL/SQL development skills
- Experience working with complex databases and business-critical systems
- A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
- The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience with the following would be highly advantageous:
- SQL Server / T-SQL
- Data warehousing
- Power BI
- PowerShell or other automation tools
- Experience gained within financial services, investment management or a similar regulated environment
