Your Role

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will have direct responsibility for leading development activities to address complex challenges within the semiconductor industry through innovative and robust engineering solutions. The role will drive system-level definition, requirements management, technical integration, and multidisciplinary collaboration to support the development and deployment of next-generation technologies from concept through to validation, industrialisation, and implementation.

Working closely with product development, technology, applications, engineering, and programme teams, you will ensure that customer, business, and technical requirements are translated into effective system architectures and deliverable solutions. You will provide technical leadership across the product development lifecycle, facilitate trade-off decisions, manage technical risks and opportunities, and promote the adoption of systems engineering best practices to improve product performance, quality, reliability, and time-to-market.

The role also includes mentoring engineers, influencing technical strategy, and supporting the development of future technology roadmaps to maintain Edwards' leadership position in the semiconductor industry.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
