About The Team
You’ll join a collaborative End User Compute (EUC) engineering team within Elsevier, reporting into the Systems Engineering Lead. The team is responsible for delivering and evolving modern workplace technologies that enable colleagues globally to work efficiently and securely.
We focus on continuous improvement across Microsoft 365 and Power Platform, combining technical expertise with a strong emphasis on user experience, governance, and innovation. You’ll work in a supportive, agile environment where knowledge sharing, learning, and teamwork are part of how we deliver value every day.
About The Role
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you’ll lead the design and support of collaboration solutions with a strong focus on the core productivity solutions. You will assist the Enterprise Engineering Lead in delivering the EUC roadmap, acting as a point of escalation, and driving technical improvements across the M365 ecosystem.
You’ll also champion Power Platform/Co-Pilot governance, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business needs. Additionally, you’ll contribute to a shift-left culture through technical mentorship, agile collaboration, and knowledge sharing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Provide guidance and implement best practices across Microsoft 365 technologies, including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Copilot, and Power Platform Manage and maintain the Microsoft 365 environment to ensure performance, security, and compliance Lead and support the development and application of governance practices for Power Platform and AI-enabled tools Work with stakeholders to understand needs and deliver practical, scalable solutions Act as a technical point of contact for collaboration and productivity platforms Deliver improvements and new capabilities within the M365 ecosystem, supporting user adoption Collaborate with cross-functional teams to roll out and maintain solutions Share knowledge, support team development, and contribute to collaborative ways of working

Skills And Experience
Experience working with Microsoft 365 services (e.g., Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange) Experience designing, implementing, or supporting Power Platform solutions and tools (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) and/or M365 Ability to communicate technical information clearly to a range of audiences Experience working collaboratively in delivery-focused or agile environments Familiarity with Copilot or AI-enabled technologies Experience with collaboration tools such as Slack Understanding of governance, security, or compliance practices (or willingness to develop this knowledge) Interest in supporting and mentoring others
