About the Role
Location: Plymouth, Devon | Stoke Gifford, Bristol | Faslane Compensation: £54,019 – £60,429 (depending on experience) + Benefits Role: Full-time / Permanent | Hybrid Working Arrangements (35 hrs/week) Role ID: SF72771

The opportunity: As a Senior Systems Engineer, you’ll lead impactful engineering projects, blending innovation, process improvement, and systemic resilience—from project initiation to decommissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead transversal engineering projects, delivering technical solutions for complex systems (e.g., naval platforms).
- Optimise engineering processes, governance, and capability plans to enhance efficiency.
- Conduct engineering investigations, compiling actionable reports and recommendations.
- Oversee project management—planning, delivery, cost control, and stakeholder liaison.
- Collaborate with customers, contractors, and other stakeholders to refine outcomes.

Essential Experience & Skills
- Proven expertise in systems engineering, including:
- Understanding and implementing technical requirements.
- Driving innovation to improve engineering effectiveness.
- Project management experience: on-time, on-budget delivery in fast-moving environments.
- Comfortable navigating commercial and subcontract processes.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, PRINCE2, Agile).
Qualifications
- Degree/HND (Level 5) in a STEM discipline OR substantial equivalent experience.
- Chartered/Incorporated Engineer status or working towards it.
Critical Requirement
- UK National eligible for and maintainable Security Check (SC) clearance.
