Job Description

Are you a Senior Systems Engineer with experience working with mechanical, electrical, and process systems in a highly regulated industry (Nuclear, Aerospace, Defence, etc.)? Assystem’s Decommissioning Strategic Business Unit is expanding and we are looking for skilled Systems Engineers for our Defence packages of work.

Your missions:

  • Requirement specification production / management
  • Interface Management
  • System Architecture definition
  • System Functional and Interface modelling
  • Working with mechanical, electrical and process systems
  • Operating requirements management database software (DOORS preferential)
  • Operating Model Based Systems engineering Software (Capella preferential)

Qualifications

Qualifications/Skills to be successful:

  • Experience in complex regulated industry essential (i.e. Nuclear, Aerospace, etc.)
  • Experience in Nuclear industry desirable.
  • Foundation background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is acceptable.
  • Degree in engineering or STEM subject is mandatory or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience.
  • Systems thinking and systems engineering processes is mandatory.
  • Systems engineering training/qualifications desirable.
  • Willing to accept a candidate with SE experience and a desire to move into this field if they can demonstrate competence.
  • Experience operating Rationale DOORS software as a practitioner is desirable.
  • Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering is desirable.
  • Awareness of relevant BS or INCOSE standards desirable
