Role Description
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Systems Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will do Proof-of-Concepts, design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions that support our business needs, with a focus on firmware, device drivers, hardware interfaces, and real-time communication technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient applications while following best practices in software development.

Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain software applications, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and implement new features.
- Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following best coding practices.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues as they arise.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Ensure software security, data protection, and compliance with company standards.

Required Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Agile Tech Fluency: Ability to move fluidly between different programming languages, frameworks, and operating systems without friction.
- Deep Analytical Thinker: Exceptional debugging and root-cause analysis skills, with a passion for diagnosing complex software behaviors.
- Fundamentals First: Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals, allowing you to adapt to new tools and environments rapidly.
- Communications: experience with WebRTC, WebSockets, REST APIs
- Low-level: experience in understanding and debugging firmware device drivers and USB

Education & Experience
- Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in software development
Compensation
- Salary Range: £ 57,000 - 70,000 base salary per year
