Job Details:

Salary Range: £36,363 - £38,220 per annum

Work Location: HIWFRS HQ, Eastleigh

Hours per week: 37

Contract Type: Permanent

Closing Date: 9 August 2026

Interview Date: w/c 17 August 2026


The Role:

As an ICT Systems Specialist, you’ll be at the heart of supporting and enhancing a range of critical systems, acting as the go-to expert for the technologies that keep the Service running effectively. You’ll tackle complex 3rd line issues, work closely with internal and external customers, and help shape system improvements by gathering requirements and driving valuable enhancements. You’ll also have the opportunity to develop innovative solutions, support remote teams, and deliver an excellent standard of user support, all while ensuring systems remain aligned with legislation and Service policies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 3rd line support and resolve complex system issues
  • Gather requirements for system enhancements and fault resolution
  • Lead user acceptance testing and ensure compliance
  • Promote innovative ICT solutions and new ways of working
  • Maintain technical documentation and user guides
  • Support data quality and reporting
  • Manage supplier relationships and technical performance
  • Coach and mentor ICT colleagues
  • Participate in and lead stakeholder meetings
  • Deputise for senior management when required

About You

  • Experience in systems support and development
  • ITIL v4 knowledge or qualification
  • Understanding of system integration and software testing
  • Strong stakeholder and communication skills
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into plain language
  • Experience working with suppliers
  • Ability to manage competing priorities
  • Knowledge of data security principles
