About us

We are The Fractional Talent Consulting (TFT)

We’ve just entered our third full year of trading, with record year-on-year growth, and we’re profitable, lean, and intentionally small. We provide embedded, end-to-end talent support to early and mid-stage B2B SaaS companies… from Pre-Seed to Series A acting as a fractional internal Head of Talent.

We don’t operate like a traditional recruitment agency. We embed directly into our clients’ businesses and work closely with founders and leadership teams as trusted partners. We’re in Slack+Teams, in stand-ups, and involved in the decisions that shape teams and companies. We pride ourselves on supporting startups with cost-effective, genuinely consultative, and honest hiring support. Sometimes that means helping a founder hire quickly. Sometimes it means advising them to pause, change scope, or rethink a role. Both are part of doing the job properly.

We’re also the exclusive Talent Partner to Fuel Ventures, supporting their portfolio founders with some of their earliest and most important hires. Fuel’s portfolio spans 210+ startups, and we have exclusive access to support those businesses as their trusted talent partner. As that partnership continues to grow, alongside our direct client work, we’re hiring Senior Talent Partners to join us.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The role

As a Senior Talent Partner, you’ll embed into 2-3 early-stage B2B SaaS startups at a time and act as their internal Talent lead.

You’ll operate like a fractional Head of Talent or Senior Talent Partner, fully embedded in each business, with a deliberately small portfolio so you can go deep rather than spread thin. Your focus will be on client happiness and success role delivery, not new business targets! You’ll work directly with Founders, CTOs, Chief of Staff’s, Heads of Product, Sales, and Ops to help them build strong, balanced teams. This is a hands-on, high-trust role where you’ll be expected to think like an operator, not a supplier.

What you’ll actually do

  • Own hiring end-to-end across Tech & GTM vacancies for a small portfolio of early and mid-stage tech startups (typically B2B SaaS).
  • Support first hires and early leadership roles, as well as scaling teams post-funding.
  • Shape role scope, seniority, and hiring plans alongside founders.
  • Provide clear salary benchmarks and honest market insight.
  • Design and run structured, human interview processes.
  • Source and headhunt candidates directly using LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing tools.
  • Manage candidate experience from first message through to offer.
  • Stakeholder management - you’ll be confident enough to push back when a hiring plan or role doesn’t feel right.

This role is likely a great fit if you…

  • Have also worked internally within a startup or scale-up SaaS environment and understand what good looks like from the inside.
  • Have also operated in a fast-paced, technical recruitment agency and are confident headhunting hard-to-find profiles.
  • Are comfortable hiring across both technical (SW Eng, Data, Product etc) and GTM commercial roles of all seniorities.
  • Can influence stakeholders using data and a warm, consultative approach.
  • Care deeply about quality, clarity, and candidate experience.

This probably isn’t the right role if you’re looking for volume hiring, rigid KPIs, or a purely transactional setup.

Why join us

  • Meaningful, embedded work with real influence.
  • Exposure to ambitious early-stage founders, including exclusive access to Fuel’s 210+ company portfolio.
  • 95% of our vacancies are exclusive to us as a trusted partner.
  • A proven, sensible model with no hype.
  • High trust, low bureaucracy.
  • Flexible working, judged on outcomes.
  • A genuine opportunity to help shape and grow the business.

Location & working style

You’ll need to be UK-based and happy to:

  • Meet regularly in Manchester or Liverpool.
  • Regularly work with clients at their office (London, Manchester, or Belfast), embodying their culture.
  • Mirror clients' needs across UK/US-based vacancies.

Interview process

  • Intro video chat with Matt (Founder).
  • Practical conversation around real hiring scenarios.
  • F2F Meeting and offer.
