Senior Tax Advisory Manager

Coventry | £70,000-£85,000 + Car Allowance, Bonus and Profit Share

Are you technically strong across transactional tax but looking for a role where you can take genuine ownership of projects, advise clients directly, and help develop others?

This is an opportunity to join a growing accountancy business with a specialist tax advisory team, supporting owner-managed companies and their shareholders through reorganisations, incorporations, share schemes, and other complex transactions.

The Role

As Senior Tax Advisory Manager, you will manage projects from initial planning through to implementation, combining detailed tax analysis with practical, commercially focused advice. You will work closely with clients, solicitors, and internal teams while reviewing work completed by less experienced colleagues.

Based in Coventry, the role offers flexible working hours, strong progression, and a broad package that includes a company car or allowance, team bonuses, and profit sharing.

Responsibilities

  • Managing corporate reorganisations, incorporations, and employee share incentive projects
  • Preparing detailed step plans, project timelines, and implementation schedules
  • Analysing the Corporation Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Income Tax, Stamp Tax, Inheritance Tax, and employment tax implications of transactions
  • Preparing and reviewing HMRC clearance applications, statutory filings, and supporting documentation
  • Coordinating with clients, solicitors, and other professional advisers throughout each project
  • Reviewing technical analysis and project work completed by Tax Advisers
  • Identifying further tax planning and mitigation opportunities for clients
  • Providing clear, accurate advice on complex matters outside standard compliance work
  • Monitoring budgets, deadlines, and project deliverables
  • Coaching and mentoring junior colleagues and supporting their technical development
  • Contributing to appraisals, regular one-to-ones, and wider team development

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
