The Opportunity
This is a great chance to join a global financial technology business where your remit will be to lead on all tax matters for their UK&I business operations. This is a SME sized business growing quick and offers you a chance to join a dynamic and high quality finance team.
The Role
The key objective of this role is to provide tax leadership for the UK and European business including:
- Ensuring that the group companies within UK&I meet all their direct and indirect tax obligations
- Providing advice on tax implications of transactions covering full range of indirect and direct taxes
- Leading VAT transformation project aimed at simplifying operating models and sustainable VAT governance processes
- Leading engagement with tax authorities to secure and manage VAT related rulings and share based scheme clearances
- Leading on exploring tax structuring opportunities that may exist within the group including transfer pricing
- Reviewing and signing off tax related statutory disclosures and tax filings

What Will Be Your Background?

- Qualified ACA/ACCA and/or CTA
- Proven tax experience within an internationally operating group environment
- Experience across corporate and VAT tax essential within the UK and broader international tax exposure desired
- Experience of working within financial services/fintech industry desirable. You could also be working within tax advisory in an accountancy firm seeking a move to industry
- Working knowledge of Alteryx, Power BI or similar desirable
