A highly respected accountancy practice based in Falmouth has a requirement for a Senior Tax Manager or Tax Director to join their highly regarded team as a key addition. The position has arisen through a combination of growth and planning for the future development of this successful office. You will have the opportunity to lead and develop the tax advisory function, with a clear path to progress in your career.
Client Details
With offices in Falmouth, the firm acts for a wide range of industry clients to encompass sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies across a whole spectrum of industries and turnovers, with the largest clients up to £25 million for whom they carry out audits for a group of companies. The firm uses IRIS software. Private clients are varied with HNWIs and Trust clients. You will be looking to grow and develop the firm's tax offering and department and take a lead role in this. There is a clear path on offer to progress in this growing firm.
Description
You will join the firm as a Senior Tax Manager or Tax Director, dependent on the level and background of the right professional, moulded accordingly around this and based from their Falmouth offices. You will take a client-fronting role overseeing the provision of advisory services across a wide spectrum of tax advice and planning across personal, corporate, and mixed tax moulded to suit the career background and areas of expertise of the right professional. You will be leading the team and looking to drive the further growth and development of tax services in this leading firm, working closely alongside the firm's leadership team. You will have clear opportunity to progress in your career.

Some Examples of Project Work Include
- Profit Extraction: Advising on dividend/salary payments; pension contributions; benefits in kind; purchase of own shares; voluntary liquidations
- Capital Gains Tax Planning: Considering the availability of BADR, hold-over, and roll-over relief; PPR availability
- IHT Planning: Use of trust and deeds of variation; availability of BPR and APR; gifts out of income
- Assisting Companies with EIS & SEIS: Giving shares to employees, including obtaining advanced assurance, clearances, and making claims
- Assessing Client's Residence Status: Effect of double tax treaties
- Advising on Incorporations: Successions and sale of business or assets, including TOGC, options to tax, capital allowance elections, and intangible fixed assets
- SDLT Advice: Advising on the appropriate rate of SDLT to apply on a transaction

Profile
You will either already be a Tax Director level professional, or operating effectively close to this as an experienced Senior Tax Manager in your career and will be any of: ACA / ACCA/ CTA / ATT / STEP, etc., qualified as a tax and advisory-focused professional. You will have specialised across any area of corporate, personal, or mixed tax across your career history delivering tax advisory services. Your background will have been developed within any of the Top Tier, Mid-Tier/Top 50, or large, medium, or small independent accountancy practice firm backgrounds and you will be seeking a challenging new career opportunity, with a clear route to progress within a leading firm of accountants.
Job Offer
