This post also offers the extended opportunity of including an additional TLR 2 (£6,069 per annum) to lead the development of teaching and learning across East Sussex County Council Specialist Teaching Services, which provide teaching and support offers to a range of identified groups of learners.

This dynamic role requires someone with successful experience of inspirational leading and developing teaching and learning who can adapt their career experience to further support and develop vital ESCC education services.

What You’ll Get

  • A supportive and collaborative working environment
  • A strong commitment to staff wellbeing and work-life balance
  • Regular opportunities for professional development and growth

  • The autonomy to shape and develop plans, driving innovation and continuous improvement within your area of responsibility

What we’re looking for:

  • A qualified teacher with secure knowledge of teaching KS3/KS4 English from levels 1-9
  • The ability to adapt and deliver lessons to meet a wide range of needs
  • Experience of reviewing and leading teaching and learning initiatives leading to impactful outcomes.
  • A passion for inclusive practice and supporting diverse groups of learners
  • A collaborative leader who can motivate and empower others, building commitment to a shared vision.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
