Senior Technical Specialist: Data & Analytics Solutions
Joining Cadent for Maternity Cover
We are seeking a Senior Technical Specialist with a focus on Data & Analytics Solutions to cover maternity leave within Cadent’s Data & AI function. This pivotal role will drive the design, governance, and utilisation of data across the organisation.
### About the Role
You will be responsible for defining high-quality solutions, standards, and technical designs that underpin Cadent’s data platforms and analytics ecosystem. Operating as a subject matter expert, you will ensure these developments are aligned with the enterprise architecture strategy, enhancing both operational efficiency and analytical insights.
Your mandate includes collaborating closely with architects, platform teams, and business stakeholders to shape the Data & AI roadmap. Ensuring our platforms remain secure, scalable, and optimised for critical insights, you will play an instrumental role in delivering maximum value to the business.
Core Duties
- Lead the design of data-driven solutions across Cadent’s organisation
- Develop and enforce technical standards, governance policies, and architecture patterns for data and AI platforms
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align data solutions with the enterprise strategy and regulatory requirements
- Drive the adoption of modern data technologies and innovation
- Contribute to the memallion architecture (or similar layered data platform) and optimise pipelines for performance and scalability

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with architects, engineers, business stakeholders, and product teams to deliver value-driven, scalable solutions.

### What You’ll Bring to the Table
Data & Analytics Expertise
- Deep technical expertise in data platforms, analytics tools, and AI solutions
- Proven experience in designing and implementing data-driven solutions in enterprise settings
Architecture & Design Skills
- Strong experience in creating high-level (HLD) and low-level designs (LLD) for complex systems
- Fluency in data architecture, modelling, governance, and lifecycle management
- Delta Lake optimisation, Medallion architecture, and scaled ingestion pipelines knowledge
Technical Platform Proficiency
- Family of software: Experience with SAP BTP and Datasphere, Databricks, or associated big data solutions
- Cloud environments: Expertise in AWS native data stacks and operational CI/CD
- Data governance: Experience with tools like Informatica
- Visualisation: Powerful knowledge of SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI, Tableau
- SAP ecosystems: A working appreciation for SAP S/4HANA and its integration
Leadership & Influence
- A subject-matter expert mindset with the ability to guide and influence across the company
- Strong stakeholder management and strategic negotiation skills
Analytical & Technical Aptitude
- Ability to simplify complex concepts for business stakeholders
- A thorough understanding of system reliability, performance optimisation, and cross-team integration
### Qualifications & Experience
- Academic Background: Degree in Data Management, Computer Science, or a closely related field
- Experience:Senior-level expertise in technology-related roles within large, functionally complex organisations
- Professional Exposure:
- Familiarity with ITIL-aligned environments, supporting mission-critical systems
- Cloud platform engineering expertise, including CI/CD, monitoring, security patterns, operational resilience
- Knowledge of Delta Lake, CI/CD, API integration, and Medallion architectural frameworks
