Position Overview: Senior Technical Account Manager

The Professional Services team at Menlo assists customers in properly deploying their Menlo solution. The Senior Technical Account Manager acts as both a senior technical individual contributor and an account management leader. Responsibilities include:

Deployment Role

  • Serve as a key field resource collaborating with deployment teams, partners, and customers to provide deployment advisory services.
  • Ensure proper design, configuration, resiliency, and best practices are followed during deployment.

Account Management Role

  • Play a pivotal role in the post-sales process, driving sales leads and client retention.
  • Requires expertise in technical product elements and clear instruction to achieve success.

  • Customer Requirements Management

    • Understand and document Statements of Work (SOW) with precision.
    • Present Menlo security assessment findings to customers.
  • Technical Documentation & Training

    • Develop detailed, professional documentation for migrations, deployments, and configurations.
    • Train customers on deployments, customer integration with SSO, Azure Active Directory (AD), Proxies, Cloud APIs, and firewalls.
    • Train onboarding customer admins through hands-on workshops and guided documentation.
  • Integration & Troubleshooting

    • Integrate Menlo with SSO, Azure AD, VMware, virtualised environments, firewalls, and cloud platforms.
    • Design and execute test plans to validate solution resilience.
  • Operational Delivery

    • Self-project-manage deployments, ensuring timeliness and adherence to best practices.
    • Gather customer feedback to drive product enhancements and cost reductions.
  • Sales & Strategic Alignment

    • Collaborate with sales teams to win new business.
    • Maintain relationships with CIOs, CTOs, and CSOs to translate business needs into technical strategy.

Job Requirements

Experience & Skills

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in Technical Account Management, Customer Success, Solution Architecture, or Professional Services.
  • Proven skills in complex architecture projects, collaboration-driven problem-solving, and innovative solution design.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, both in technical and business engagement.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, prioritise and execute projects efficiently.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Deep knowledge of MITMs, TCP/IP, DNS, SSL/IPSec, HTTP/HTTPS, LDAP, AD/Active Directory (ADFS) authentication systems.
    • Experience designing, deploying, and optimising workloads on AWS and GCP.
    • Hands-on comfort with VMware, KVM, Nutanix, Docker/K8s, and Hyper-V.
    • Proven troubleshooting expertise using Wireshark, tcpdump, strace, MTR, and mini-networking utilities.
    • Scripting and programming skills: Bash scripting for automation; Python coding for middleware development.

Security & Compliance Knowledge

  • Experience selling network security technologies, including:

    • Proxies, next-gen firewalls, SSL/TLS, DLP, CASB gateways, and load balancers.
    • Working knowledge of SIEMs, MDM platforms, and zero-trust architectures.
  • Industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CISSP, CCSP) are a plus.

Travel & Business Conduct

  • Willingness to travel to customer sites, partner engagements, and industry events as required.
