The Trade Desk

The Trade Desk is a global technology company and the world’s leading independent platform for digital advertising, with nearly 4,000 employees across more than 30 offices. Our technology helps advertisers reach the right audiences across the open internet — from streaming TV and podcasts to mobile apps, news, and more.

Advertising powers the content people love. By making it more transparent, effective, and responsible, we help support trusted journalism, quality entertainment, and creators worldwide. The world’s brands and agencies rely on us to reach their customers and grow their businesses responsibly.

The scale of our platform brings unique technical challenges — from processing massive datasets in real time to building systems that operate reliably on a global scale. When you work here, your impact is worldwide. We welcome diverse perspectives, encourage curiosity, and build teams that learn from one another. If you’re driven to solve meaningful challenges, we’d love to meet you.

What we do:

Today, The Trade Desk is an open collaboration platform, where a thriving Marketplace of partners helps unlock greater platform adoption and customer value. The Marketplace Technical Account Management (TAM) team is responsible for onboarding, integrating, and supporting these partnerships while working closely with Product to continuously improve the partner experience through scalable technology.

Beyond integration, the Marketplace TAM team identifies development opportunities through collaboration with advertisers and works directly with partners to strengthen technical integrations, expand solution adoption, increase data utilization, and ultimately drive platform growth and revenue.

Skills Summary:

  • Business Partnership & Commercial Alignment – Collaborates closely with Data Partnerships business managers to understand each partner's business strategy, growth trajectory, and commercial priorities. Uses these insights to proactively shape technical roadmaps, recommend integration enhancements, and prioritise development opportunities that support mutual business growth.

Establishes timelines, manages risks and dependencies, coordinates stakeholders, and drives projects to successful completion while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ownership & Execution – Demonstrates a high degree of ownership, accountability, and initiative. Independently manages competing priorities, anticipates challenges, removes blockers, and consistently delivers high-quality results with minimal oversight.
  • Product & Engineering Influence – Acts as the voice of the data partner by effectively partnering with Product and Engineering teams to communicate business priorities, technical requirements, and integration challenges. Synthesises partner feedback into actionable insights that help influence product direction, improve partner experiences, and enable scalable platform capabilities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
