Lead Architect - £95k - North East / Scotland - Hybrid - Innovative Tech Consultancy
Fancy an architecture role where you're actually in the room shaping strategy, making the calls, and staying close enough to delivery to see your decisions land 👀
We're working with a brilliant technology consultancy looking for a Lead Architect to bring technical leadership across a genuinely varied portfolio of client work. Client demand is on the up, and they need more architects to match it. No two projects look the same and neither does the tech stack.
This role sits at the intersection of technical leadership, delivery, and consultancy. You'll work closely with tech and delivery teams day to day, not fully hands-on, but close enough to roll your sleeves up when it counts. You'll balance strategy with practical implementation, whether leading a smaller team solo or supporting a larger programme.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
