Senior Technical Business Analyst
We're looking for a Senior Technical Business Analyst to join our team in Leeds on a permanent basis. This is a hybrid role, with two days per week in the office.
About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Technical Business Analyst to lead requirements discovery and delivery across some of our most complex, high-impact, and technically ambitious initiatives, including agentic AI solutions, intelligent automation platforms, and large-scale system integrations.
This is a senior individual contributor role with significant influence across the CTO function. You'll be the go-to expert for technical business analysis, setting the standard for best practice and partnering with stakeholders at all levels. Working with a high degree of autonomy, you'll navigate ambiguity, drive clarity on critical initiatives, and play a key role in shaping outcomes on business-critical programmes.
You'll be equally comfortable collaborating with principal engineers on solution design, challenging assumptions and priorities with senior stakeholders, and guiding decision-making at executive level. More than simply gathering and translating requirements, you'll help shape technical direction, business strategy, and delivery approach - ensuring solutions are both technically robust and commercially aligned.
Through your expertise, stakeholder management, and ability to ask the right questions, you'll raise the bar for business analysis across the organisation while helping teams deliver meaningful, measurable outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead discovery and requirements definition for complex, business-critical programmes across AI, intelligent automation and enterprise technology.
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements, user stories, process flows and acceptance criteria across multiple systems and teams.
- Partner with Architects, Principal Engineers and Product teams to shape solution design, integration approaches, APIs, data models and delivery roadmaps.
- Provide expert analysis and constructive challenge to ensure technical solutions remain aligned to business objectives and strategic priorities.
- Lead requirements and analysis activities for agentic AI initiatives, including multi-agent workflows, orchestration, tool integration, memory management and human-in-the-loop processes.
- Act as a subject matter expert in emerging AI and agentic technologies, helping to shape best practice and drive innovation across the organisation.
- Drive high standards of requirements governance, traceability and documentation, ensuring solutions are delivery-ready and scalable.
- Identify and manage risks, dependencies and delivery challenges, providing clarity and direction within complex and fast-paced programmes.
- Build strong relationships with senior business and technology stakeholders, facilitating workshops and influencing key delivery decisions.
- Champion Business Analysis best practice, mentoring colleagues and helping to elevate capability across the wider function.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
