FlexMedical Solutions is growing.

We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Senior Technical Buyer to join our expanding team in Livingston, Scotland.

Working within a highly innovative CDMO environment focused on diagnostics and medical devices, this is an opportunity to play a key role in supporting both R&D programmes and commercial manufacturing operations for a diverse portfolio of UK and international customers.

At FlexMedical Solutions, we help our customers bring their ideas to life and create a healthier tomorrow through the design, development, and manufacture of cutting-edge diagnostic technologies. This role sits at the heart of our operation.

You will take ownership of technical procurement, supplier management, materials planning, and inventory coordination across multiple concurrent projects and products in a fast-paced regulated environment. You’ll work closely with Engineering, R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance teams to ensure continuity of supply, cost optimisation, and operational excellence.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
