Job Title: Cyber Security Consultant

We are seeking a Cyber Security Consultant to join our industry-leading Cyber Security Capability team. This role is part of our recently defined global digital strategy, marking a significant investment in Operational Technology (OT) Cybersecurity, where we want you to lead, innovate, and shape the future of cybersecurity services applied in context.
About the Role
As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will advise, influence, and deliver cutting-edge cyber security expertise across multiple sectors, including Energy, Rail, Healthcare, Aviation, Maritime, Smart Infrastructure, and more. You will:
- Provide technical consultancy services for OT/IT development and Digital Transformation projects aligned with client needs.
- Deliver cyber security strategy advice, technical assurance, solution guidance, specification, design, and testing assurance.
- Shape and define new cyber security services and offers to help clients address challenges in digital resilience.
- Steer collaboration with clients, government agencies, partners, and supply chains to solve complex procedural and technical challenges.

Responsibilities
You and your team will be directly involved in the following critical activities:

Advise clients on Cyber Security compliance with frameworks such as:
- NIS-D (Network and Information Systems Directive)
- NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology)
- ISO 27001 (Information Security Management)
- ISA/IEC 62443 (Industrial Automation & Control Systems Security)
- Other relevant industry standards

Develop governance frameworks, Cyber Security Plans, and Information Security Management Systems.

Conduct control analysis, architecture reviews, and Threat and Risk Assessments.

Tailor Cyber Security requirements to client-specific needs and translate business needs into actionable strategies.

Engage with clients, government entities, partners, and supply chains to define technical and procedural solutions for complex challenges.

Collaborate across projects to promote and implement best practices in Cyber Security.

Present Cyber Security services and drive discussions on Digital Resilience with clients.
Requirements
Professional Background & Skills
You are ideal for this role if you have expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- OT (Operational Technology) and IT Cyber Security for IIoT/IoT environments.
- Industry-specific applied cyber security, especially in:
- Energy (Nuclear, Oil/Gas, Electricity)
- Rail/Road Transport
- Healthcare
- Smart Infrastructure/Buildings
- Maritime
- Aviation
- Demonstrated team leadership and the ability to develop and mentor junior professionals.
- Experience with government frameworks and cyber security policy development.
- Successful collaboration with sales teams in producing technical proposals.
- Hands-on knowledge of:
- Telecoms, SCADA, mission-critical or safety-critical architectures
- Threat modelling, vulnerability analysis, and risk matrix modelling
- Secure DevOps and systems engineering lifecycles
- Cloud Security, including OT in Cloud environments; GOV.UK:Cyber:Assured Framework (CAF).
- Incident Management, digital forensics, crisis response, SOC operations, and related tools (e.g., IDS/IPS, SIEM, EDR/MDR).
Must-Have Experience
- Extraordinary experience in cyber security or OT/IT environments within:
- Engineering electronic/system companies or consultancies with expertise in leading teams and collaborating with clients.
- Solid understanding of risk assessment methodologies in systems and software development, including:
- Agile, ITIL, V-model processes
- Healthcare, nuclear, or other safety-critical environments.
Preferable Attributes
- Technical authoring and publishing experience within cyber security or industry standards such as:
- ISA/IEC 62443
- NCSC’s Governance, Assurance, and Testing Framework (CATs/CACD’s CAF)
- Ability to author proposals, adopt and customise security frameworks, and define OT-centric security solutions.

Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or another technical discipline (expressly preferred).
- A Chartered Membership (e.g., CEng, CITP, CURO) or preference to pursue it encouraged.
- Consultancy, presales, or security engineering experiences are advantageous.
