We are hiring a Cyber Security Consultant to join our specialist OT Cybersecurity Capability team, which provides tailored cybersecurity services across diverse industries. In this role, you will:
- Contribute to the grow ing Cyber Security capability within WSP
- Deliver strategic cybersecurity advice, technical assurance, and solution guidance across OT/IT and digital transformation projects
- Collaborate with clients, government agencies, and partners to define secure technical and procedural solutions for complex challenges
- Lead WSP’s cybersecurity deliverables from conception to implementation, ensuring alignment with client needs and regulatory standards

Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the following core activities:
- Advising clients on cybersecurity compliance, including:
- NIS-D, NIST, ISO 27001, ISA/IEC 62443
- Industry-specific standards and best practices
- Developing governance frameworks, cybersecurity strategies, and Information Security Management Systems
- Analysing cybersecurity controls, assessing architectural proposals, and performing Threat and Risk Assessments
- Tailoring cybersecurity requirements to align with client business and technical needs
- Translating complex technical and business requirements into actionable solutions
- Collaborating with clients, government agencies, partners, and supply chains to address digital resilience challenges
- Presenting cybersecurity services to clients, defining strategies for Digital Resilience support
- Defining new cybersecurity services, products, and solutions to meet evolving client needs

Requirements & Expertise
We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Consultant with the following background and expertise:
- Background in Cyber Security, OT, Integration, or Systems Engineering, gained within consultancy, supplier, or engineering environments
- Proven experience leading teams of cybersecurity professionals, including mentoring junior colleagues in their career development
- Practical experience in ** Operational Technology (OT), IT, and IoT/IIoT security**, with awareness of the following sectors:
- Energy (Nuclear, Oil/Gas, Electricity)
- Rail/Road Transportation
- Healthcare
- Smart Infrastructure/Buildings
- Aviation
- Maritime
- Certifications and knowledge in:
- Cisco, SCADA, mission-critical, safety-critical, or big data architectures
- Threat modelling, vulnerability analysis, risk matrix modelling
- Secure DevOps and secure systems engineering life cycles
- Security policy and governance frameworks
- Cloud security (including OT in the Cloud)
- Incident management frameworks, security incident analysis, digital forensics, crisis management, and SOC operations
- Hands-on experience with cybersecurity platforms and tools, including:
- Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS)
- Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
- Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR/MDR)
- System and device hardening
- Ability to work fluently with regulatory frameworks, including:
- ISA/IEC 62443, NCSC’s CAF (Cyber Assessment Framework)
- GovUK frameworks and government security standards
- Proficiency in applying risk assessment methodologies within:
- Agile, ITIL, and V-model processes
- Strong communicative skills—client-facing expertise, presentation experience, and team collaboration are essential
- Consultancy, pre-sales, or security engineering experience is highly desirable

- A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent industry experience)
- Chartership in Engineering or Cyber Security, or plans to pursue professional registration
