Senior Technical Implementation Engineer
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Senior Technical Implementation Engineer to join our UK team. We are a fast-growing defence technology organisation working at the convergence of technology and national security.
This is a dynamic, hands-on role focused on deploying and scaling a secure DevSecOps platform across UK Government, NATO, and secure cloud environments.
This is an individual contributor position suited to a technically strong engineer who is comfortable operating independently, managing complex deployments end-to-end, and engaging directly with senior stakeholders. You will act as the primary technical presence within UK customer environments, working closely with international engineering and product teams to ensure successful delivery.
Security Clearance Requirement:
This position requires the holder to hold, or be eligible to obtain, Developed Vetting (DV) clearance. Candidates must be UK nationals (or hold dual nationality with the UK as one nationality) and have sufficient UK residency history to be sponsored for DV. Active DV clearance is strongly preferred. This role cannot be progressed without clearance eligibility.
Location:
Hybrid remote (UK-based). The role requires frequent travel to customer and partner sites across the UK and NATO to support customer requirements. Candidates must be based within the UK and willing to travel as required.
What You'll Do
- Manage the full lifecycle of technical implementations within UK Government and secure cloud environments, from initial scoping through to live deployment, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and to the required security and quality standards.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for UK customers during implementation, providing regular updates, managing expectations, and resolving issues with minimal escalation.
- Provide hands-on expertise with Kubernetes across deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting, ensuring best practices are applied consistently within classified and sensitive environments.
- Coordinate technical requirements across Product, Engineering, and Commercial teams, identifying and resolving blockers proactively.
- Implement and improve processes and tooling that increase implementation efficiency and quality, incorporating customer feedback.
- Contribute to the development of UK-specific deployment patterns and technical documentation supporting growth within the UK Defence, NATO, and National Security markets.
- Take a proactive, solutions-focused approach to resolving technical and procedural challenges.
- Use AI tools (such as Claude and Gemini) to improve productivity across coding, debugging, documentation, research, and problem solving, while exercising appropriate human judgement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
