Hey! We're Huel, and we're pleased to meet you 👋
Our culture thrives on high performance, and we set the bar high for new Hueligans who join us.
We invite you to read the advert below for our new Senior Technical Manager position to understand the role, and explore our 7 Huel values before applying to ensure we have the right working environment for you!
The role
We're looking for a Senior Technical Manager to lead our global RTD technical function. This is a senior role at the heart of one of our fastest-growing categories, with ownership of everything from manufacturing governance to team development across the UK, EU, and US.
Role
You'll be setting the technical direction for RTD globally, working closely with co-manufacturers to drive consistency, capability, and continuous improvement. That means getting into the data, managing risk, and building the kind of supplier relationships that hold up under pressure. You'll also be the internal escalation point for RTD, translating technical risk into clear commercial impact for senior leadership. An insight into your role:
- Defining and leading the global RTD technical strategy, covering process, quality, and co-manufacturer capability.
- Line manage the RTD Technical Managers and Process Technologist, defining clear role ownership and building team capability in process knowledge, RCA quality, and influencing skills.
- Setting technical standards across all RTD co-manufacturers and drive consistency of ways of working across the UK/EU and US.
- Owning the escalation pathway for critical technical risks and incidents, ensuring robust root cause analysis and systemic fixes, not just symptom patches.
- Leading the technical onboarding of new co-manufacturers, including process readiness, capability gap assessment, and risk.
- Driving continuous improvement plans with co-mans and own the CPMU reduction strategy for RTD.
- Assessing long-term co-manufacturer scalability and suitability for future SKUs and formats.
- Maintaining the RTD technical risk register and lead the response to any major quality or food safety incidents.
- Serving as the primary technical lead for NPD and EPD on the RTD space, proactively flagging quality and safety risks from the outset and overseeing the journey through scale-up and final launch review.
- Translating technical findings into clear commercial and supply chain impact for senior leadership, implementing documents and procedures for key processes across the business, and ensuring team capacity keeps pace with Huel’s growth plans.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
