About the Team
Disclosure Content ensures the strategic development, maintenance, and delivery of CDP’s environmental disclosure framework, including:
- Question bank (critical questions to assess environmental impact)
- Reporting guidance (how to respond to disclosure)
- Scoring methodologies (how data is assessed)
The Environmental Knowledge team is responsible for end-to-end delivery and maintenance of this framework. They provide:
- Environmental insights (scientific analysis)
- Internal technical support (resolving complex queries)
- Question bank publication oversight
We collaborate with teams across CDP, pioneering best practices in environmental disclosure.
About this Role
This critical position will provide technical, scientific, and analytical expertise to develop and ensure the highest quality of CDP’s disclosure framework. You will focus on climate change content, informing corporate action through clear, impactful disclosures.

Key Responsibilities
Content & Framework Development
- Deliver at least one team process or output (e.g., translations, content updates).
- Maintain and improve at least one content area of the question bank (e.g., Governance, Module 4).
- Contribute to the development of questions, reporting guidance, and scoring methodologies, with a focus on climate change, including:
- Analysing response data and conducting desk-based research.
- Drafting and proofreading technical documents.
- Actively author, edit, and test questions/content in CDP’s online disclosure systems.
Technical Expertise & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a subject matter expert on climate disclosure, supporting:
- Funded projects, publications, consultations, and engagement events.
- Internal presentations and webinars.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders (Scoring, Thought Leadership, Data, Customer Success) and external partners (disclosing organisations, NGOs, standards boards, data users).
Process Optimization
- Plan, implement, and refine processes for evolving framework content.
- Prioritise actions to drive efficiency in question bank development.
Team Collaboration & Professional Growth
- Actively contribute to an engaged, high-performing team by:
- Ensuring clarity on expectations via regular 1:1s and objective-setting.
- Maintaining open, honest workplace communication.
- Modeling CDP’s Values and behaviours at every level.
- Foster knowledge sharing and respect across diverse teams.
What We’re Looking For
- Relevant academic qualification (e.g., in environmental science, climate, sustainability, or related field).
- Professional experience in corporate environmental disclosure, preferably with climate change expertise.
- Technical proficiency in:
- Understanding global sustainability frameworks (e.g., TCFD, Science-Based Targets, GHG Protocol).
- Assessing how environmental risks/opportunities impact businesses.
- Designing processes to improve efficiency.
- Strong analytical skills:
- Ability to organise, interpret, and communicate both qualitative and quantitative data.
- Excellent research skills with a high attention to detail.
- Communication skills:
- High standard of written English; ability to simplify complex topics clearly and concisely.
- Proven experience giving technical presentations.
- Soft skills:
- Confident collaborator with empathy for diverse teams.
- Self-motivated, ability to manage pressure under deadlines.
- Strong organisational skills (prioritising tasks in fast-paced environments).

Salary & Benefits
- Salary range: £32,157 – £40,197/year (fixed-term contract).
