What Is the Opportunity?

As a Senior Technical Pricing Analyst at Simply Business, you will step away from traditional, sluggish insurance models and lead our MGA pricing strategy from our tech-first London hub. We are completely bypassing legacy processes to apply sophisticated statistical techniques and machine learning to high-frequency data, keeping us steps ahead in the fast-paced small business market.

What makes this role different from other technical pricing positions is the sheer scale of impact and autonomy you will enjoy. You won't just be tucked away building isolated models; you will have complete ownership over your analyses, collaborate directly with underwriting and data science teams, and see your data-driven recommendations transform directly into live market actions. Plus, you'll play a vital role in building a world-class analytics function by mentoring junior analysts and supporting the Head of MGA Pricing.

As one of our Senior Technical Pricing Analyst’s, you’ll:

  • Monitor the performance and health of the MGA portfolio from a risk perspective to ensure long-term, sustainable profitability.
  • Contribute to the production and maintenance of technical risk pricing models using Python, R, SQL, and advanced pricing tools like Earnix, Akur8, or Emblem.
  • Identify emerging market trends and recommend proactive price adjustments to protect our leading position without negatively affecting loss ratios.
  • Evaluate new product propositions to identify potential profitability and set the optimal price points for successful market entry.
  • Transform complex datasets into actionable insights and enhanced dashboards for underwriting footprint reviews.
  • Support the development of the wider pricing function through active training, coaching, and mentorship of junior colleagues.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
