Senior Technical Pricing Analyst – Allianz UK
About the Role
Be part of the team driving the future of Motor Technical Pricing.
As a Senior Technical Pricing Analyst, you will:
- Enhance the models and methodologies shaping one of the UK’s largest insurance portfolios, supporting innovation and improving pricing capability.
- Share knowledge within the Pricing team and contribute to commercial success.

Salary: Circa £50,000 per year (based on experience, skills, and location). Part of a comprehensive reward package.
What You’ll Do
Your work will vary daily, but key responsibilities include:
- Model development and enhancement
- Leading data preparation, model creation, and applying advanced techniques (e.g., credibility overlay).
- Back-testing and analyzing model impacts to propose pricing adjustments.

Project management & delivery
- Planning and managing projects independently while ensuring robust, stakeholder-communicated triggers.

- Promoting best practices and mentoring within the team.
Essential Skills & Experience
We understand you won’t know everything from day one, but the following will equip you for success:
- Statistical modeling (particularly GLMs – Generalised Linear Models).
- Machine learning (focusing on Gradient Boosting Machines – GBMs).
- Proven experience with large data sources.
- Strong proficiency in:
- Advanced Excel
- Python, SQL, or Databricks/Like coding environments.
- WTW’s Radar and Emblem systems.
- Understanding of all technical pricing elements.
- Stakeholder management with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to build relationships across the Pricing Department.
Desirable
- Experience in Responsible AI usage.
