About the Role As a Broadwick Company, Vibration Production specialises in creating impactful live events and experiences, including:

  • Event and architectural design
  • Lighting, sound, AV, rigging, and structural production
  • Power, staging, logistics, and crew management
  • Sourcing of furniture, textiles, and equipment

The Senior Technical Production Manager will lead all aspects of event production at ** Magazine London **, one of London’s most innovative hybrid venues, capable of accommodating up to 10,000 attendees across 4,000 sq m (internal) and 9,700 sq m (external, Showground). Reports to the Senior Operations & Production Manager and manages the Production Manager and Production Assistant.


Location & Contract

  • Base Location: Magazine London, 11 Ordnance Cres, London, SE10 0JH
  • Hours: 42.5 per week, with a flexible rota (Monday to Sunday, 5 days/7), including nights and weekends
  • Agreement: Full-time, postal/monthly contract (exact details pending interview)

Role Overview: Key Responsibilities

The Senior Technical Production Manager at Magazine London will oversee end-to-end production for high-profile events across conferences, exhibitions, brand activations, and music shows. Core Responsibilities

  • Strategic planning & collaboration

    • Lead venue sales and event-planning teams in pre-event logistics, including timelines, budgets, and design Critical Paths.
    • Interface with external vendors, contractors, and clients to align all parties behind client/venue-specific briefs.
  • Production execution

    • Direct on-site production crews, ensuring equipment, staging, and props are delivered and implemented fluidly and safely.
    • Risk assessment: Enforce thorough RAMS (Risk Assessment & Method Statements) for each event.
    • Troubleshoot real-time complications (e.g., technical failures, supply delays) while upholding event continuity.
  • Organisational workflow

    • Stuffing the accession shelf: Manage overarching event organisation, coordination, and project delivery.
    • Administer event budgets, invoicing, and procurement, ensuring smart spending without compromising quality.
    • Deploy ERP/CRM tools (e.g., Vectorworks for stage design) to optimise workflow.
  • Client & vendor relations

    • Build consistent success stories by reactive effectively to client challenges and mining for upsell opportunities.
    • Cultivate vendor partnerships to improve quality and services.
    • Mentor junior team members, providing constructive feedback and fostering professional growth.
  • Sales & marketing support

    • Work with marketing to tailor event-specific proposals, tech sheets, and demographic insights.
    • Advise venue sales teams on technical production parameters to secure deals.

Required Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate combines industrial strength in event production with collaborative dynamism. Must demonstrate:

  • 7+ years’ production experience, with 3+ years in a senior role at a major venue/provider
  • Capability in commercial negotiations in pressured environments, with a proven sales/closing skill-set
  • Precision in multi-track scheduling and project budget management
  • Mastery of logistics and technical constraints across scale, including:
    • Electrical temporary wiring (with prior training in BS7909:2011, if possible)
    • Rigging and load-bearing systems (PASMA/IPAF certifications a bonus)
    • AV/light stages and foie-graciss Postal infrastructure
  • Certification paths: Health & safety knowledge under CDM2015 regulatory caste. Pros can have [IOSH Manual Handling] First Aid, or similar.
