Are you an experienced Technical Manager with a passion for exhibitions? We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Manager to oversee the planning and delivery of complex and technically challenging exhibitions. This role is a blend of technical expertise, project management, and leadership, with the opportunity to manage large-scale events from start to finish.
You’ll be responsible for managing the technical production of events, including the coordination of equipment, rigging, and technical teams, while ensuring everything runs smoothly from planning through to post-event evaluation. Key Responsibilities
- Event Production Management: Plan, manage, and oversee the technical, scenic, and LED installations, including rigging, for live events. Ensure smooth implementation and safe removal of equipment on-site.
- Technical Oversight: Advise Account Managers and Technical Managers on complex technical elements of live events and provide solutions for any challenges that arise.
- Project Development: Contribute to client and project development processes, including assisting with pitches and new business development alongside the account manager.
- Team & Logistics Coordination: Work with the Operations Department to calculate crew requirements, logistics, and technical equipment, ensuring the successful execution of each event.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Produce relevant health and safety documentation, including risk assessments and method statements (RAMS), and ensure safety procedures are followed during all stages of the event.
- Training & Development: Work with other members of the Technical Department to develop training programs, ensuring the team remains technically proficient and up-to-date with the latest AV technologies and safety procedures.
- Technology & Innovation: Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in AV production, rigging, power, and safety to continually improve technical execution.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
