We’re seeking a Technical Programme Manager / Senior Technical Project Manager to join us on an 18-month fixed-term contract, playing a critical role in delivering a large, complex, and business-critical transformation programme.
What You’ll Be Working On
You’ll lead a key technical workstream within a client-led transformation programme, collaborating closely with dunnhumby and the client’s cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Data Science).

This is a highly visible role where you’ll:

- Drive delivery
- Ensure an integrated, cohesive team operation
Key Responsibilities
Delivery & Collaboration
- Lead end-to-end delivery of a complex technical programme workstream in a major retail transformation
- Own and drive delivery plans, ensuring dunnhumby (dh) and Tesco stakeholder alignment
- Operate within an agile environment, embedding best practices and improving ways of working
- Navigate ambiguity, shaping delivery approaches where scope and requirements evolve
- Build strong, credible relationships with senior client stakeholders
- Coordinate across Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Infrastructure teams to deliver integrated solutions
Risk & Decision-Making
- Identify and mitigate risks, proactively managing dependencies, trade-offs, and escalations
- Influence technical decision-making, balancing delivery constraints with long-term value
- Support budget planning and resource alignment with cross-functional teams
- Champion delivery excellence, coaching teams and promoting effective programme management
Requirements & Qualifications
Essential
- Proven experience as a Technical Programme Manager / Senior Technical Project Manager in complex environments
- Strong stakeholder management, with experience engaging senior client stakeholders (preferably in large enterprises)
- Experience delivering large-scale technical programmes, ideally in retail, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or data-driven businesses
- Solid understanding of technical delivery (engineering, data platforms, or product ecosystems)
- Experience in agile environments, adaptable to blending agile and traditional methodologies
- Ability to manage ambiguity, complexity, and competing priorities
- Track record of aligning multiple teams and disciplines
