The Opportunity

Morson Edge is recruiting for a Senior Technical Services Engineer to join a leading aerospace and defence programme based in Warton.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Continuing Airworthiness or Technical Services Engineer to play a pivotal role in ensuring the ongoing airworthiness, reliability, and regulatory compliance of a modern aircraft fleet. Working within a Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO), you'll provide technical leadership across maintenance planning, engineering support, reliability programmes, regulatory compliance, and technical investigations.

You'll collaborate closely with maintenance teams, flight operations, OEMs, and regulatory authorities to ensure the safe and efficient operation of aircraft while driving continuous improvement across engineering processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the continuing airworthiness of the aircraft fleet in accordance with UK CAA regulations
  • Review Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), and manufacturer publications for applicability and compliance
  • Evaluate mandatory and recommended modifications, including cost-benefit analysis
  • Provide technical support and guidance to Maintenance and Flight Operations teams
  • Investigate technical defects, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions
  • Liaise with OEMs, Part 145 maintenance organisations, suppliers, and regulatory stakeholders
  • Support the development and optimisation of maintenance programmes and scheduled maintenance work packages
  • Review and close maintenance work orders, ensuring maintenance activities are accurately recorded
  • Monitor aircraft reliability, identify trends, and recommend improvements to maintenance practices
  • Produce technical reports and present reliability data to key stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate continuing airworthiness records and technical documentation
  • Support internal and external regulatory audits, ensuring compliance with Part CAMO, Part M, and Part 145 requirements
  • Participate in Safety Management System (SMS) activities, technical risk assessments, and incident investigations
  • Lead or support engineering projects focused on fleet reliability, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
