The role
This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping how real-time and operational data is captured, managed and used to drive critical decision-making. Working with technologies such as AVEVA PI, PI AF and PI Vision, you will support the full data lifecycle from data ingestion and historian services through to asset modelling, visualisation and insight generation. You will help ensure platforms are reliable, secure and scalable, while enabling teams to access trusted, timely data.
You will also contribute to how data is structured and contextualised through asset frameworks, making it easier for users to understand performance and trends across complex systems. Alongside this, you will support integrations with wider business systems, helping to connect operational technology with enterprise data platforms and unlock greater value.
You will join a forward-thinking, collaborative technical team where your ideas and perspectives are genuinely valued. There is real scope to influence how solutions are designed and delivered, introduce improvements in monitoring, data quality and automation, and enhance how real-time insights are used across the organisation. This role offers the chance to deepen your expertise across data platforms, integrations and modern analytics, while working on meaningful problems with visible impact.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
