The Product Trainer Role
The Product Trainer will deliver tailored training across Viessmann’s boilers and renewable energy solutions, empowering installers, partners, and internal teams for optimal product adoption.
About the Role
This impactful position ensures technical confidence among installers, improves installation standards, and enhances customer loyalty. Your focus will be on transitioning the UK heating industry towards low-carbon, sustainable solutions, with a direct role in reducing errors and driving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Training Delivery
- Spearhead in-person and virtual training sessions on boiler systems, heat pumps, controls, and software, ensuring technical accuracy and clarity.
- Collaborate with Product Management to align training reviews with product updates and market needs.
- Provide post-sale support through product demos and hands-on lab sessions during major rollouts or launches.

Engagement and Technical Empowerment
- Offer adaptive mentorship for installers and engineers, leveraging first-hand expertise to troubleshoot challenges.
- Garner feedback from participants and refine training content iteratively to enhance effectiveness.
Stakeholder Alignment
- Stay current with UK heating regulations and national funding schemes (self-study supplemented where needed).
- Represent Viessmann professionally at industry events and exhibitions, showcasing expertise to partners and clients.
What We’re Looking For

- A passionate, approachable Trainer ready to mentor installers as they adapt to sustainable solutions.
- Flexibility to thrive independently or within a team when scheduling or delivery contexts change.
Essential Requirements
Technical & Professional Competency
- Hands-on experience in heating systems, preferably with boilers and/or heat pumps.
- Teaching/coaching skills backed by comparable installation engagements.
- Robust understanding of UK MCS standards, flue regulations, and minimising installation errors.
Soft Skills
- Unwavering clarity in messaging, excelling at simplifying complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Self-reliant, meticulous in organisation, and adaptable to differing training environments.
Evidence of Strength would Include
(Not mandatory but applicable skills available at interview)
Advantageous Knowledge
- Familiarity with the technically advanced renewable industry includes:
- Government schemes (e.g. Green Deal, Heat Pump Hydration Grants).
- Knowledge of Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHPs) and ground-source systems.
Skills Development Supported
- Full training provided for any gaps in scheme and ASHPs applications, coupled with professional development opportunities.

What We Offer
Competitive Reward
- Base salary range: £34,500.00 – £69,500.00 annually.
- Your pay will account for skills, qualifications, and experience—see full range below codes for customised discussions.

Pay Range Clarification
($34,500 – £69,500) pay has been structured to promote employability levels within the industry. Factors impacting individual pay within this range include:
- Project-based versus tenure-specific incentives
- Specific qualifications (e.g. higher certifications, ASHP qualifications, or niche specialisations*)
- Existing industry experience and proven attainments in training/technical education.
