We're looking for a Senior Technician to join our Kier Design team based in Norwich.
Location: Norwich - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required.
Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
Join our thriving 700-strong internal consultancy, Kier Design, where you'll contribute to delivering civil and structural infrastructure engineering services. Working within our Structures and Geotechnical capability, you'll support exciting projects for prestigious clients including Local Authorities, National Highways, Network Rail, and water sector clients such as Anglian Water, Southern Water, and Thames Water.

What will you be responsible for?
As a Senior Technician, you'll be working within the Structures and Geotechnical team, supporting them in delivering safe, buildable solutions for our clients' infrastructure projects. Your day-to-day will include:

- Creating intelligent BIM models and 3D designs to support tender schemes and project delivery
- Producing 2D CAD drawings for permanent and temporary works design, including structures, utilities, and infrastructure
- Supporting tender submissions with outline design schemes, feasibility studies, and concept evaluations
- Conducting site visits, surveys, and inspections whilst ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations and company quality management systems
- Collaborating with engineers to produce design deliverables including calculations, drawings, reports, and design risk assessments
What are we looking for?
This role of Senior Technician is great for you if:
- You have completed IEng or EngTech IPD with a relevant professional institution and three years' relevant experience, or a level 6/7 qualification with five years' experience, or eight years' relevant experience
- You hold a full driving licence
- You're proficient in using Civils 3D, REVIT, Navisworks, or AutoCAD to produce compliant infrastructure models and drawings
- You have knowledge of reinforced concrete detailing and scheduling to European/British Standards
- You enjoy working collaboratively and building effective relationships across teams and with clients
