WORKPLACE TYPE: On Site

A highly autonomous Senior Technologist responsible for driving the technical delivery of dairy and non-dairy innovation projects, from concept through pilot and factory trials. This role plays a key part in shaping customer solutions, advancing product development, and supporting business growth through technical expertise and collaboration.

As a Senior Technical Service Technologist you will:

  • Lead end-to-end product and process development for dairy and non-dairy applications
  • Manage customer projects
  • Support innovation initiatives
  • Ensure successful scale-up through pilot plant and factory trials

The role combines technical expertise, project ownership, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-quality, commercially viable solutions.

This role reports to the UK Development Manager.

What You Will Do

  • Lead and independently deliver complex customer projects across dairy and non-dairy applications, ensuring strong technical execution and commercial relevance.
  • Drive the development of new products, technologies, and application concepts, including both “me-too” developments and differentiated innovation opportunities.
  • Plan, lead, and support pilot plant and factory-scale trials, ensuring effective product and process scale-up from concept through to implementation.
  • Provide expert technical consultation and application support to customers in the UK and international markets, acting as a trusted technical partner.
  • Maintain robust and accurate documentation of formulations, trials, technical decisions, and development activities to support knowledge management and project continuity.
  • Collaborate effectively across sales, purchasing, quality, development, and operations to deliver customer projects, resolve technical challenges, and support business priorities.
  • Identify and contribute to cost optimisation, raw material substitution, process improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives across relevant product areas.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
